LAFA imagines emotions as living beings with physical forms. His original creation, Emomals—a portmanteau of Emotion and Animals—are entities in which emotions take tangible form through the bodies of animals. Sadness, anxiety, and joy gather and disperse across the canvas, forming their own ecosystem and revealing how emotions exist, intertwine, and relate within the human psyche.

In another body of work inspired by ancient Egyptian papyrus scrolls, the world of Emomals expands across time. Resembling hieroglyphs and ancient manuscripts, these compositions suggest that emotions are not merely fleeting feelings but accumulated records of human relationships and history. Among them appears a rhinoceros Emomal that embodies the artist's own grief and inner darkness, evoking the enduring nature of emotions that never fully disappear. LAFA's work invites viewers to revisit long-buried sorrow and emotional wounds, reminding us that our emotions are not only part of the present but also an enduring thread woven throughout the human experience.
